New design
The 3rd generation AirPods headphones are lightweight with a new contour. They are placed at exactly the right angle to the ear to feel comfortable and deliver the best sound. The earbuds have been made 33% shorter compared to the 2nd generation AirPods. The new model also has a touch sensor that makes it easy to control music playback and calls.
Spatial sound with head movement monitoring
The sound seems to surround the listener, offering a three-dimensional pleasure of listening to music and TV as well as watching movies. The gyro sensor and accelerometer in the headphones cooperate with the movement of the listener's head, creating the illusion that they are actually in the middle of a piece of music or a movie scene.
Adaptive EQ
The sound of the music is automatically adjusted to the shape of your ear. The inward-facing microphone detects what's being listened to and adjusts the bass and mid-range frequencies to provide rich detail when listening to each piece of music.
Longer lasting battery
The new AirPods model lasts 1 hour longer than the AirPods 2nd generation with 6 hours of listening time and up to 4 hours of talk time. After only 5 minutes of charging, the headphones can be used again for almost an hour. Thanks to the MagSafe charging box, the headphones can be used for up to 30 hours before the box needs to be recharged via a compatible MagSafe or other wireless charger.
Sweat and water resistant
Both the AirPods and the MagSafe charging case have an IPX4 water resistance class, so you can sweat or get in the rain with ease.

Setup is a breeze - once out of the box, these headphones are ready to use.
